Application
for Graduation (Declaration of Candidacy)
To graduate from UCR, undergraduate students must
file an application for graduation as specified by their college.
Deadlines to file application:

Applications are not accepted after the deadline
established for the quarter.
Deadlines for submitting
transcripts showing transfer work required for graduation to
the Office of Admissions:

If for any reason a student does not meet the
requirements for graduation after filing the application, another
application must be filed for the following quarter.
Students graduating in absentia after an
absence of one or more quarters must apply for readmission to the
university and file an application for graduation with their college
Student Academic Affairs office.
The Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE)
Students should review their remaining
requirements on GROWL each
quarter. They should also contact their assigned academic advisor
three quarters before expected graduation to confirm
the course plan for their remaining requirements. Applications for
graduation must be submitted to the Office of Student Academic
Affairs by 4 p.m. of the deadline date listed above.
College of Humanities, Arts, and Social
Sciences (CHASS)
Students should review their remaining requirements on GROWL each quarter. They should also
contact their academic advisor in their major department or program
two quarters before expected graduation to confirm
remaining requirements. Please note that CHASS no longer accepts the
paper application; the online Application for Graduation is available
at the CHASS Student
Affairs website and must be submitted by 4 p.m. of the deadline date
listed above.
College of Natural and Agricultural
Sciences (CNAS)
Students should review their remaining requirements on GROWL each quarter. They should also
contact their academic advisor in their major department or program
three quarters before expected graduation to confirm
remaining requirements. Applications for graduation must be submitted
to the college office by 4 p.m. of the deadline date listed above.
Diplomas
Diplomas can be picked up at the Highlander One Stop Shop (HOSS) on the first floor of the Student Services Building approximately four months after the graduation date. When
the diploma is available, a postcard is mailed to the permanent
address on file. Diplomas can also be mailed for $3.50 to domestic
locations and $9.25 to international destinations, upon receipt of a
written request and a check for the appropriate amount, payable to
Regents UC. |
