UC Analytical Writing Placement Exam

Students held for the UC Entry Level Writing Requirement must take the UC Analytical Writing Placement Exam. For more information, check with the English Department.

Foreign Language Placement Examination

All students in the colleges of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and Natural and Agricultural Sciences who wish to meet their foreign language breadth requirement with the same language taken in high school must take a placement examination. Students who have transferred in college-level language units should consult with their advisors to determine the appropriate enrollment level.

Each of the language examinations can be taken only once. A fee is required for each placement exam taken and is billed to the student's account.
