Proof of Student Status

Enrollment verification proves to third parties that you are, or were previously, enrolled as a student at UCR. There are many situations in which you may need to provide verification of your student status, which include applying for a job, deferring student loans or seeking a discount on insurance. The Registrar’s Office provides two convenient options to help you verify your enrollment:

    1. Verifications that do not require a supplemental form to be completed can be submitted online via a student's R’Web account.

  1. Verifications that require a supplemental form to be filled out must be attached to an Enrollment Verification Request Form and submitted either in person at the Student Services Building or via mail.

    Recent graduates may have an urgent need to provide documentation proving their degree requirements have been met to be eligible for a job offer or gain admission to a graduate school program. If your degree has not yet posted, contact your college office and request a Letter of Degree Conferral.
    Third parties who need to verify a student's enrollment or degree must obtain verification through our clearinghouse. Information on how to obtain a third-party verification is provided below.

 

STUDENTS THIRD PARTIES

Online

    • For the most efficient processing, order an enrollment verification via R’Web. You will need your NetID and password. You may not use this method if your verification requires a supplemental form to be completed.

  • If you have a supplemental form that must be completed by the university, you must use the "By Mail" or "In Person" options below.

By Mail

  • Print an Enrollment Verification Request Form (or create a letter that includes the same information).
  • If you have a third party form that must be completed, please attach it to the request.
  • Mail your completed form to the following address:

In Person

  • If you have a third party form that must be completed, please attach it to the request
  • Bring your completed form to the Cashier at the Highlander One Stop Shop (HOSS) located on the first floor of the Student Services Building. You can put it in the drop box on the left end of the counter without waiting in line.

UCR has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for all third-party verifications of student enrollment and/or degrees. Degree verification for the most recent term is available approximately eight to sixteen weeks after the term ends. The clearinghouse abides by all provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). All agencies contacting the Office of the Registrar for enrollment verification will be referred to the National Student Clearinghouse. Neither UCR nor the National Student Clearinghouse will acknowledge or disclose information based on a student's social security number.
